The Rose of Versailles

It is now 3.06 am, and Song Fest is just few hours away...
But somehow feeling very restless, don't feel like sleeping even thought am already very tired....
Am listening to my collection of songs, and just had a glass of white wine =)
Hmmm... Such a nice feelings!

Many peoples asked me about my nick name ~ Oscar...
Wonder is it refering to the dustbin monster from Saseme Street? Haha!

She was actually a character I read when I was still very young (Form 2 I think...), from a Japanese comic - "The Rose of Versailles".
Love the story alot, even though the drawing wasn't really that impressive.
Copy & paste some of the synopsis from wiki below:
"The Rose of Versailles focuses on Oscar François de Jarjayes, a girl raised as a man to become her father's successor. Oscar accepts the destiny that her father decided for her, but when she realises that her true love was André Grandier, her childhood friend, she decides to live as a woman..."

Why I love this character? Hehe...
Cos many a times, I can identify myself with Lady Oscar...
I always wanted to be someone that I can't possibly be... Haha...

Sigh...
I'm tired... Tired of living two, but incomplete life...

This is a wallpaper done by my friend, I stole it without his permission =p
Which pretty reflect my current status now...

"Where are Thou at the cross road of my life?"

Help me to find You, Lord!

Mene, Mene, Tekel, Parsin

When I was reading Daniel last week, I got a reminder from God in Chapter 5...

The handwriting on the wall signifies a final warning just before the end. Ignoring the warning like King Belshazzar - invites punishment, just as the writing on the wall makes clear...

Am I also that ignorant??

The real conflict is inner conflict. Beyond armies of occupation and the catacombs of concentration camps, there are two irreconcilable enemies in the depth of every soul: good and evil, sin and love. And what use are victories on the battle-field if we ourselves are defeated in our inner most personal selves?

Updates on Week 32 (YR2007)

Had been really busy last week, so no time to even update my bloggie =.=
So here are the summary of some interesting events... (I summarize most of them in pictures, kakaka...)

This is what my colleague got for us from her UK trip. (Sigh! When it will be my turn...)
A box of chocolate for the team, the Kinder Happy Hippo biscuit & key chain for me, til now also tak sampai hati to eat the hippo...=p

The bonquet of purple flowers from Keith's Wedding leftover, due to no more available vase at home, so I found another "special place" to place it... Haha! To makes my "special moment" special... LOL!

And thank God!! I finally got my new lappy~~~ ^.^
It's a wide screen Dell Latitude D620. Well, Dell was never my favorite brand but I have learn to be contented, hehe =p

Actually I like my old IBM too, just that it is a bit heavy for me to carry around, and recently it had been giving me a lot of problems, so am glad for my new partner at work =)
Many thanks to my old lappy, for serving me in the past 2 years =)

And I took this few pictures during Wed CG at Adam's house.
All those finger puppets remind me of 4 of us ^.^

BiBi, me, Ally & the queen

BiBi & me - our representation

muacks!

Many thanks to my dear God, for His protection & provision - both my new lappy & old friends!

Then Friday night went to Luna with a few friends for some wine & chill out session.
It was a really nice place to hangout - at Pan Recency Hotel Level 34, if I remember correctly... I love the "roof top - open air - pool side - class window all around to see KL view" concept. Classy but also costly place =p
The only flaw is the background music on that night doesn't really match with the cozy ambience, or else things would have been better.

Our love for God is tested by the question of whether we seek Him or His gifts.

Seeing the unseen God

This is a back-dated post...
Just wanted to share what I have learnt from my QT last week =)

Was reading the book of Ezekiel and I was kinda excited to reach this book.
Because I only heard of his name and about the story of how dry bones becoming as flesh in the song "Days of Elijah" =p ( ya, I know I'm a lousy tutor... )

The theme for the book of Ezekiel is about "Seeing the unseen God" ( & I like this because I always struggle with the same issue... )

During the exile, God surprisingly appeared to Ezekiel in Babylon - the last place an Israelites expected to see God!
Ezekiel is a strange book to read, with all the unearthly visions, bizarre behaviour - lay in public on his side, bound by ropes, facing clay model, bake bread with cow dunk... ( Yes, serious, I'm not lying... It makes me swt when I read this too =.=* Go read it yourself if you don't believe me... )
The reason why Ezekiel the prophet and his message came in strange measure is to call people to pay attention - because God wanted to make himself known, with the hope that "Some day, some day, I will will get through to them... If the message doesn't reach their heart this way, then I'll try another!"
All God's message are meant to shock his people into restoring a living relationship with Him.

The lesson that struck me most is about how God called Ezekiel to fulfill His purpose.
Ezekiel as a young man in training for the priesthood, his career paths got interrupted by the deportation of the Babylon.
What good is it for a priest in Babylon when the temples is in Jerusalem and in ruin? He must be wondering...
The same question that we often asked whenever we are placed by God in an unwanted situation...
Little do he knows at that time, God had called him to a new role - a prophet to the Jews in Exile!

God grant such a powerful revelations at the beginning of his ministry to train him up for the tough assignment ahead.
God gives him an experience that he will never forget or doubt - no matter what difficulties he may face.
Ezekiel has to confront the stubborn and unyielding Israelites, as a result, he lives a lonely life... But he never loses hope with God and his faith does not waver.
The experience he had with God at the beginning of his ministry give him the courage he needs to fight on.

"And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious house. You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious." ~ Ezek 2:6-7

I believe God had already given me a lot of experiences to shape and mold me, but why? Why am I still so doubtful and so stubborn, just like the Israelites, so heart-harden...
I can only keep praying that God will continue to change me, help me not to choose to learn the hard way...

Even if we may not always understand why God allows certain things to happen to us, we can know He is able to bring good out of evil, and triumph out of suffering.

Blessed Birthday to Anne =)

Hope it adds some special pleasure to the hours of your day to know you're being thought of in the very warmest way...
And when your birthday's over, hope that you'll remember, the same warm thoughts as always will keep going out to you!
BLESSED BIRTHDAY...

In this world, where everything seems uncertain, only one thing is definite, you'll always be my dear friend & sister =)

There is no circumstance, no trouble, no testing, that can ever touch me until, first of all, it has gone past God and past Christ, right through to me. If it has come that far, it has come with a great purpose, which I may not understand at the moment. But I refuse to become panicky, as I lift up my eyes to Him and accept it as coming from the throne of God for some great purpose of blessing to my own heart.
