The greatest woman I've ever known

My mom is the greatest woman I've ever known =)
Her love for us gives me hope; one so selfless, so sacrificial.
I’m utterly thankful for this best thing a daughter could ever get.

I wish I could tell you about this one day…

Happy Father's Day 2008

We had our Father's Day celebration last Sat, while my sis and family is still in KL.
Brought them to Lookout Point Bread & Olive, their first time there ;)
But I think I forgot to call my brother to join in... Ops! Haha!

Some picture we took :)

The KL skyline, my family are impressed
The Teng sisters, cute right?
My nieces & ISis and family
Mom & Dad =)
The FOOD! Only 1 decent picture, the rest forget to take... Haha!

Some video I took for Yuan Yuan:
(note: I wasn't the one that humming the Barney song ar...)

But the bad thing, we have to leave in hurry cos of the sudden bugs attack! Stupid bugs...

Anyway, I am thankful for good moment we had together as a family.
And... despites of the shortcomings (Well, no one is perfect, neither do I!), I shall still thank my Dad for being the breadwinner for the family for umpteenth years =)

Petra VBS 2008

*cough cough sneeze sneeze*

Back from Camp Transformation for almost a week, and I am sick for a week too...

Went to see doctor for the back pain+ sore throat + cough; cost me RM130 inclusive of the electric physiotherapy... The doctor said I had a sever muscle pull konon-nye, and that is not the end of the bad news yet... He said, I need about 6 - 10 weeks to fully recover! *faint*

Have not get hold of all the camp photo yet, so Camp post on hold.

Anyhow, I wanted to give thanks for the Camp, and also for the VBS!

Brought my niece to the VBS, for the 2nd time after last year.
Last year attempt wasn't that successful, she only stayed for half a day out of 2 days, then she merajuk say tired wanna go home =.=*

But this year she stayed for full 2 days! Without my company too!
I send her to the VBS before I go to work in the morning, and when I come home, I asked her about the happenings at VBS.

Though there were some hick up at the beginning - you can see her sour face at the first picture below, haha!
But am truly glad she enjoyed the VBS programme eventually, note the smiley face after that =)

If the LORD had not been on my side...

*** HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! ***

I did not make it for the Mother's Day lunch, because we're having Leaders' Training at the same time, so they had the family lunch without me.

I hope our trip to Aussie can be considered an early Mother's Day present for her.
Erm... Yes, we still quarrel over there, even though sis already reminded me not to... my bad... But it's nothing serious, we just had difference of opinion & different perspective to value certain things.
Anyway, I hope the trip would be something to be remembered between me & my mom.
I hope mom will understand that I do love her, a lot, even though I don’t know how to (or failed) to show it. I am never good at expressing my true feelings…
Well at least, if one day I'm gone, before her, she would have this good piece of memory with her =)

And I was reading Psalm 124 as my QT before I go to bed, I want to take this opportunity to write a thank you note to the Lord for the wonderful holiday He allowed me to.

If the LORD had not been on our side, I would not have such a wonderful vacation with mom…
Thank God for all the guidance, else we would have been so lost out there, at a country where we know nothing of.
Thank God for all the good people we met.
Thank God for J, who was there for me when I am so lost.
Thank God for the great weather and beautiful scenery.
Thank God for being in control of all things.
Thank God for His provision & protection along the way, so that we may return home safely.
Thank God for giving us such a wonderful memory.

In fact, there is more to give thanks of, but I shall stop at seven – the number of perfection for today…

Dear God, it is good to be able to write to You again =)

To trust Him, no matter what

Back from Family Camp yesterday. As expected, I don't enjoy it. Haha! =p
But attending Family Camp will still be in my yearly must-do plan.
Why? Because I acknowledge that it is a necessity for the church to gather together as a family to do His will, simple as that.
It is not what I want, but what I need.

And I have learn to appreciate small little things in life, this really help to make my days in camp easier. Like spending some good times (eventhough limited) with BiBi, the Sunday School kids, Adam & Lip Seng's family, Yow Looi, Yen Teng, etc etc.
Lemuel is so sweet and cute, Karsten is blur but yet adorable, not to forget Amanda & Caitlin too =) Whenever I look at these 2 little girls, I can't help but think of Arielle. Miss her so much.
Sometimes I wound wonder, am I having some curse of not being able to keep my most love one close by my side...

And sis & the nieces are here for the holidays, their presence certainly help me to shoo away the gloominess, thank God for the right timing =)

Yesterday I when I was doing my QT, I came across this few verses in Isaiah:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
(Isaiah 55:8-11)

I only hope I could trust in Him more, knowing that He - the Creator of heaven & earth, the One who weave me in my mother's womb - will never be wrong, and will only give me what is right.

“O Lord! Help me to trust in You and make You the center of my life!”

It is a glorious thing to know that your Father God makes no mistakes in directing or permitting that which crosses the path of your life. It is the glory of God to conceal a matter. It is our glory to trust Him, no matter what.

Happy Mother's Day

No words can help me to express my gratitude to my dear mommy...
Thank God for putting such a wonderful mother by my side.
I only hope and pray that one fine day, my mom would accept the Lord, then I will never need to be afraid of losing her for eternity anymore... May the grace of God be with us.

Dedicated to my bestest Mom,

Your arms were always open when I needed a hug.
Your heart understood when I needed a friend.
Your gentle eyes were stern when I needed a lesson.
Your strength and love has guided me and gave me wings to fly.
And what I love best of all is that you love me.

Mother, this little tribute, flows directly from my heart.
&nbspYou are so loved and cherished, invaluable, one and all, you are.

I cannot forget my mother. She is my bridge. When I needed to get across, she steadied herself long enough for me to run across safely.

Exam Day! Rainy Day!

So tire... after spending 2 nights burning mid-night oil to study for my ITIL exam. (Erm, dun ask me to explain what is that, it's some IT related professional paper la)
And so I just back from the exam center at Mid-V, after the rain & the jam... =.=* I left at 5pm... Still dont know why already got so many cars on the road. Sigh! Driving in KL = stress!
But still have to be thankful for my car, cos I saw some people have to ride or walk in the rain. I guess everytime when I start to complaint about the traffic, I should instead be thankful for God's provision =)
And it's sooooo good to be home early! Today I get to have dinner with my mom, can't really remember when was the last time we can sit down together to have dinner.... CNY I suppose??? Usually I reach home after 7 or 8pm, by then, my parents already finish their dinner... So today, it was good, everything is simple but yet it was so good =)
Home sweet home... Thank God for my lovely parents, esp my mom, if one day I left without having a chance to tell her my last word, all those who read this, please help to tell my mom that - I love her so much ( sometimes I really wish I have the guts to tell her face to face... )

I guess that's all for today, I would like to end this with a quote by Mother Teresa: "If faith is lacking, it is because there is too much selfishness, too much concern for personal gain. For faith to be true, it has to be generous and loving. Love and faith go together, they complete each other. " Another reminder on the selflessness...
