I see Thee not, I feel Thee not; but Thou art here
DCQIt is a happy thing when the soul seems desolate and deserted, if our faith can say, "I see Thee not. I feel Thee not, but Thou art certainly and graciously here, where I am as I am." Say it again and again: "thou art here: though the bush does not seem to burn with fire, it does burn.
I will take the shoes from off my feet, for the place on which I stand is holy ground.

You must not be wrong...
DCQ, from the CreatorAll the wrong doings may result in different level of negative consequences... But ONE thing in life, we CANNOT and MUST NOT be wrong - that's the concept of God.
John 4:24
I'm thankful for the reminder today.
Enlighten me Lord!
Cowardice asks the question: is it safe? Expediency asks the question: is it politic? Vanity asks the question: is it popular? But conscience asks the question: is it right? And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular - but one must take it simply because it is right.

What pleases you the most?
DCQ, holding on, in moment like thisI told him, without the need of worrying and thinking pleases me the most, being with the loved one pleases me the most.
Sometimes, I really worry too much, that means, I still didn't trust enough...
"Don't trust to hold God's hand; let Him hold yours. Let Him do the holding, and you the trusting."
I believe I already found the One that is able to give me all that I need, but am I letting Him in control?

So, what pleases you the most? =)
There is no other way
DCQ, in the dark, searchingI want to run, I want to hide, but no avail - there is no other way...
[God desires] not that He may say to them, "Look how mighty I am, and go down upon your knees and worship", for power alone was never yet worthy of prayer; but that He may say thus: "Look, my children, you will never be strong but with my strength. I have no other to give you. And that you can get only by trusting in me. I can not give it you any other way. There is no other way.

The silver lining within
clouds n sky, DCQ, dream on, holding onBe strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD. (Ps 31:24)
It had been very long...
DCQ, searchingIt had been really long, that I did not write to you...
I am sorry for this... Please forgive me for being so ignorant, so selfish...
Failure and disappointment sometimes lead me to despair. I hide behind my pride and self-pity, withdrawing from you and others. Give me the hope I need and help me never to be afraid to begin again.

Tell God all that is in your heart, as one unloads one's heart, its pleasures and its pains, to a dear friend. Tell Him your troubles, that He may comfort you; tell Him your joys, that He may sober them; tell Him your longings, that He may purify them; tell Him your dislikes, that He may help you conquer them; talk to Him of your temptations, that He may shield you from them: show Him the wounds of your heart, that He may heal them; lay bare your indifference to good, your depraved tastes for evil, your instability. Tell Him how self-love makes you unjust to others, how vanity tempts you to be insincere, how pride disguises you to yourself and others.

Facing The Giant
DCQ, from the Creator, holding on
The Synopsis:
In his six years of coaching, Grant Taylor has never had a winning season. Even the hope of a new season is squelched when the best player on his Shiloh Eagles decides to transfer schools. After losing their first three games of the season, the coach discovers a group of fathers are plotting to have him fired.
Combined with pressures at home, Coach Taylor has lost hope in his battle against fear and failure.
However, an unexpected challenge helps him find a purpose bigger than just victories. Daring to trust God to do the impossible, Coach Taylor and the Eagles discover how faith plays out on the field … and off.
With God, all things are possible...
I find the show very inspiring, at least to me =)
And it serve as a very timely reminder...
I always love to watch all these shows, victory after perseverance is always very moving and inspiring. Lots of scenes in the movie remind me of our Christian walk...
The scene where the coach was training the captain depict how "faith vs sight" would be.
This really answer the question I keep asking God lately.
I asked God, "When are you gonna stop sending hardship to me? Why can't You just tell when You gonna put an end to all these? Isn't what I have gone thru enough?"
I always thought my life is like an never ending marathon race, that I never know where is the finishing line, and the coach is being cruel to keep pushing me to go on...
I often felt so tired and I so wanted to give up, but... what if the ending is just few more steps away? It would be such a waste if I gave up at this point of time!
But today, God show me the reason.
Just like the captain, if he was not blind-folded, he would have stop when he reach the targeted milestone. But when he can't see, and can only depends on the voice of the coach, he achieved what is impossible when you depends on your sight.
Almost wet my eyes when I saw how Brock was doing the death crawl and manage to persevere until the ending zone...
Our physical strength may have a limit, but the strength from our heart - never.
If God would have tell me the total no of trials that I need to go through in order to pass the test, I would have just doing the standard procedures and put a limit for myself.
But if I do not know the ending point and therefore have no choice but keep going on, I might be able to go beyond my limit, as there will never be "enough" of doing for God.
God always want us to dream big for him, to do the impossible, only if we are willing to let Him do it through us.
Faith in Him, is all that we need...
There was also a scene that speak very close to my heart, and I guess to all the leaders too.
When the captain was so tired at the championship match, he wanted to quit the game as he thought that he has no more strength left to continue to be in the game.
But the coach reminds him that, "Everyone can lead when he have the strength, but what makes a good leader is what he do even when he have no more..."
Oh God, it's really like You are speaking to me... to ask me to hold on, to keep going, even when I felt so tired and there is no more strength left to fight, because You are with me...
When God is going to do something wonderful, He begins with a difficulty.... When He is going to do something miraculous, He begins with an impossibility.

Be strong =)
To trust Him, no matter what
camp, DCQ, family, from the Creator, holding onBut attending Family Camp will still be in my yearly must-do plan.
Why? Because I acknowledge that it is a necessity for the church to gather together as a family to do His will, simple as that.
It is not what I want, but what I need.
And I have learn to appreciate small little things in life, this really help to make my days in camp easier. Like spending some good times (eventhough limited) with BiBi, the Sunday School kids, Adam & Lip Seng's family, Yow Looi, Yen Teng, etc etc.
Lemuel is so sweet and cute, Karsten is blur but yet adorable, not to forget Amanda & Caitlin too =) Whenever I look at these 2 little girls, I can't help but think of Arielle. Miss her so much.
Sometimes I wound wonder, am I having some curse of not being able to keep my most love one close by my side...
And sis & the nieces are here for the holidays, their presence certainly help me to shoo away the gloominess, thank God for the right timing =)
Yesterday I when I was doing my QT, I came across this few verses in Isaiah:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
(Isaiah 55:8-11)
I only hope I could trust in Him more, knowing that He - the Creator of heaven & earth, the One who weave me in my mother's womb - will never be wrong, and will only give me what is right.
“O Lord! Help me to trust in You and make You the center of my life!”
It is a glorious thing to know that your Father God makes no mistakes in directing or permitting that which crosses the path of your life. It is the glory of God to conceal a matter. It is our glory to trust Him, no matter what.

DCQ, from the Creator, in the dark, searchingThe handwriting on the wall signifies a final warning just before the end. Ignoring the warning like King Belshazzar - invites punishment, just as the writing on the wall makes clear...
Am I also that ignorant??
The real conflict is inner conflict. Beyond armies of occupation and the catacombs of concentration camps, there are two irreconcilable enemies in the depth of every soul: good and evil, sin and love. And what use are victories on the battle-field if we ourselves are defeated in our inner most personal selves?

Updates on Week 32 (YR2007)
DCQ, gratitude, picturesSo here are the summary of some interesting events... (I summarize most of them in pictures, kakaka...)
This is what my colleague got for us from her UK trip. (Sigh! When it will be my turn...)
A box of chocolate for the team, the Kinder Happy Hippo biscuit & key chain for me, til now also tak sampai hati to eat the hippo...=p
The bonquet of purple flowers from Keith's Wedding leftover, due to no more available vase at home, so I found another "special place" to place it... Haha! To makes my "special moment" special... LOL!
And thank God!! I finally got my new lappy~~~ ^.^
It's a wide screen Dell Latitude D620. Well, Dell was never my favorite brand but I have learn to be contented, hehe =p
Many thanks to my old lappy, for serving me in the past 2 years =)
And I took this few pictures during Wed CG at Adam's house.
All those finger puppets remind me of 4 of us ^.^
BiBi, me, Ally & the queen
BiBi & me - our representation
muacks!
Many thanks to my dear God, for His protection & provision - both my new lappy & old friends!
Then Friday night went to Luna with a few friends for some wine & chill out session.
It was a really nice place to hangout - at Pan Recency Hotel Level 34, if I remember correctly... I love the "roof top - open air - pool side - class window all around to see KL view" concept. Classy but also costly place =p
The only flaw is the background music on that night doesn't really match with the cozy ambience, or else things would have been better.
Our love for God is tested by the question of whether we seek Him or His gifts.

Blessed Birthday to Anne =)
birthday, DCQAnd when your birthday's over, hope that you'll remember, the same warm thoughts as always will keep going out to you!
BLESSED BIRTHDAY...
In this world, where everything seems uncertain, only one thing is definite, you'll always be my dear friend & sister =)
There is no circumstance, no trouble, no testing, that can ever touch me until, first of all, it has gone past God and past Christ, right through to me. If it has come that far, it has come with a great purpose, which I may not understand at the moment. But I refuse to become panicky, as I lift up my eyes to Him and accept it as coming from the throne of God for some great purpose of blessing to my own heart.

Impossible?
DCQ, dream onBecause I've learnt from Petra through all these years to work with what we have!
This motto had been a great help for me, as it teaches me to depend on God for whatever that is lacking.
And guess what I found today?

So what is impossible?? Tell me about it, haha!

Random thoughts on Week 28 & 29 (YR2007)
DCQ, drawn to the world, dumb diary, from the Creator, gratitude, holding onReason?? Simply because I had been really buzy... Working hard ( to clear my outstanding workload, I'm 2 weeks behind schedule =.=* ) and playing hard ( "Girls just wanna fun" background music playing... =p )
Lots of things had been happening for the past 2 weeks... mostly are the unfortunate one... Haha!
But I still believe that everything happens for a reason, and may God continue to enlighten me to be able to see it through.
Wed (11/7) - My tummy is not behaving well that day, start to feel the pain since mid night and it got worse in the morning. But I still wanted to go to work, hopelessly stiffneck I am. I just do not know what else I can do even if I stay home...
And finally I've decided to call it a day before lunch hour - after I already can't tahan & go puke in the water closet... Then went to see doctor at Mid Valley - he said most possible cause is "mild food poisoning".
Whatever... as long as I get my MC... Ha! Thank God for the sickness so that I may rest.
Had lunch with Lydia & Amilia, it was a good time spent together. Then went to shopping with BiBi for PCW ingredients, the pain subsided as I went shopping, haha! Shopping-theraphy is still the best medicine! =p
Fri (13/7) - "有曱甴!!!"
Cockroach in my pants, arrggggggggggh!!
What a scary morning =.=* It crawl onto my hand from my jeans when I was about to tug in my leg...
Then had a human vs cockroach war declared in my room. Have to make sure that darn thing died before I leave my sweet home. Almost crying already! But no choice, gotta fight on to protect my home land... +.+
Sat (14/7) - Yes, that PCW saturday! I bang my dear Kelissa, the poor car had just celebrate its 1 yr old birthday 2 mths ago. Didn't take any picture of my car after the accident(s) @.@
But maybe it's better that way, so that when I get back my car, I can totally erase this incident from my mind... Haha, denial...
But some good things happened along the way too.
Kinda moved by my friend's kind act, he offer to fetch me back to church, as he was very worry over my "ability to drive" after what had happened... Haha! Maybe more like the fear that i will become a threat to all the other road users... Anyway, thank you 福忠! ^.^
And yes!! Our Turkish Cuisine, it was really impressive!! Hehe, kinda proud of what we've managed to deliver. Not forgetting the superb Turk Tent set up by Nigel & team. It was real good =)
And hey! I didn't lose my temper during PCW at all! Haha, which amazes a lot of people >.<> lunch (KFC then Secret Recipe) > BiBi's hse > Times Square > dinner > MBO Galaxy Ampang =.=*
Watched Transformers for the 2nd time, actually only watch 50% of the show, cos I was sleeping half the time... Ha! Wasted the ticket sponsored by David M.
And I wanted to express my sincere gratitude toward the names listed below for providing me transport to work & back home this week:
MON > Ernest & Wee Jin
TUE > Adam & Wee Jin
WED > Chee Wah & Eddie
THU > 哥哥 & 福忠
FRI > Chee Wah & ?? (may God provide...)
Thank God for providing so many kind souls by my side =)
And the thought that hit me most this week is on Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
I read this during one of my QT last week, and it was also my "Verse of the Day" 2 days later. It really hit me because it got me to question myself - will I be able to be like Isaiah, to tell God "Here I am, send me!" when there is a calling to do His will?
Help me, Lord...
And I also read a DCQ posted at a friend's blog, it is one of my favorite quote too.
She posted the quote & some sharing from one of my forwarded DCQ email. And as I read it now, it encourages me in return, God really work in miraculous way =)
Waiting for God means power to do nothing save under command. This is not lack of power to do anything. Waiting for God needs strength rather than weakness. It is power to do nothing. It is the strength that holds strength in check. It is the strength that prevents the blundering activity which is entirely false and will make true activity impossible when the definite command comes.

Happy Birthday to San Yin
birthday, DCQThanks for teaching me about J.O.Y =)
May you have a wonderful birthday today, and many more to come, my friend.
Hope you like the small but practical pressie... =p
The chief thing is, not to know what God has said we must do, but that God Himself says it to us. It is not the law, and not the book, not the knowledge of what is right, that works obedience, but the personal influence of God and His living fellowship. It is only in the full presence of God that disobedience and unbelief become impossible.

My Best Friend's Wedding 07•07•07
DCQ, gratitude, happy moment, picturesIt was a very special feeling, to walk before your best friend down the aisle to her soon to be husband. The joy and the happiness is beyond what words can describe =)
Am very nervous of course, and very scare too, knowing how clumsy I can be... =.=* I might just trip & fell down, and then ruin her perfect day...
But thank God that it did not happen as what we have predicted! And all of us have reach our destination safely, hehe... ^.^
Gosh! She was so cute and nervous when reciting the vow after Mr Lian, that she request to have me reading along (of course not read out loud la... just lip sync, which is one of my expertise... haha!), so that she may read my lips when she couldn't follow.
I am so excited & happy for my dear friend, and I pray that she will be happy always =)
And I thank God for the privilege of standing by her side at one of her most wonderful moment in her life.

May God continue to be with David & Lydia, just as what the wise teacher have said "... A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." (Eccl 4:12)
And the DCQ for today is:
"Marriage is not finding the right person, it is being the right person."

Yappy Birthday, Nigel!
birthday, DCQSo everyone have no choice but too busy to celebrate for him =p Sorry...
But group Andrew with the help of WC did prepare something for him la, we are not that bad after all, haha!
So, yappy birthday la har... ^.^
As men cherish young plants at first and fence them about with hedges to keep them from hurt, but when they are grown they remove these things and leave them to the wind and weather, so God sustains His children at first with props of inward comforts, but afterwards He exposes them to storms and winds because they are better able to bear them. Therefore let no man think himself the better because he is more free from troubles than others; it is because God sees him not fit to bear greater.

Of Love & Acceptance
DCQ, from the Creator, rkymWhat a great reminder for me...
I always know that I have not love enough, that is why I find it so hard to accept certain thing and certain people...
Dear God, help me to accept one another, just as how You've accepted me, despite of all my flaws....
Help me to judge less, and loves more.
He used to teach me about this too, I really miss him alot...
Our Saviour kneels down and gazes upon the darkest acts of our lives. But rather than recoil in horror, he reaches out in kindness and says, 'I can clean that if you want.' And from the basin of his grace, he scoops a palm full of mercy and washes our sin.
